      You are PETA

      (Personal, Emotional, Trendy, Adventurous)

You are proud to have broad taste and although you can be critical about sub-standard entertainment you would bristle at being called an intellectual snob. You think some critics need to lighten up – it’s just meant to be entertainment at the end of the day. That said, you demand a bit of intelligence and a bit of passion in all things - it’s laziness that is responsible for a lot of bad movies and laziness that makes most people line up for them. They should try looking just a bit harder – there’s a lot of good stuff out there.

      • This fantasy comedy is less out-there than Being John Malkovich but almost as clever. Will Ferrell shows real acting chops as a tax agent who hears a voice in his head narrating his every move. Find out more...

      • Alfonso Cuaron's film about two spoilt teenage boys heading off for a last summer road trip before college takes the plot of numerous crass American teen movies and creates something that is ultimately intelligent, touching and sexy. Find out more...

      • Persepolis

        (2007)

This black and white animated film is both a brilliant account of a turbulent period in Iranian history, and a charming and hilarious view of growing up. It also features an unforgettable rendition of 80's classic The Eye of the Tiger. Find out more...
