We had some fun trying to read the lines of the plam. However I have not touch on this subject for a very long time. So I can only tell a little scatters here and there. Some of the subject that was brought up then and I can show you what the books says.
I have read various school eg: gypsies style, chinese style and indian style. some advocate left hand as present and right as future, others advocate left as male and right as female. However it is believed that the origins art of plam reading originates in India.
Lines are read with the textures, shapes and sizes of the hands, fingers and thumbs. There are major lines (head, heart, life, etc) and minor lines (marriage, children etc) . Having no line eg: health does not mean no health, in fact having it with alot of islands or broken lines does not make it good.

LOVE LINES
Also called "Marriage Lines"
Love lines are short horizontal lines found on the side of the hand underneath the pinky.
Basic Love Line Meanings:Love lines indicate the number of significant relationships there are in a lifetime. Sometimes it is easier to see these lines if you bend your pinky slightly toward your palm to see the line creases.
